Cannon Custodian is a retro-styled arcade game of skill and hi-scores. You’re Ted, Area 51’s newest resident janitor that just so happens to get stuck in an interdenominational jail, mistaken for an era 1981 arcade machine. With an enormous cannon car, blast your way through waves of escaped convicts and their kingpins, all the while defending your energy pods.
Peacock Block is a fast-paced “Take That!” card game for 3-5 players, with two game modes and three ways to win. Players take on the roll of peacocks at a rager of a party, all trying to attract the love of the bodacious peahens by flirting, growing tailfeathers, or presenting The Ring. However, it won’t be that easy.
Alchemazam! is a collectable card game that can be played over multiple game formats. In this first chapter of the game, players don the role of wizards and alchemists all competing in The Grand Arcanum, a tournament of champions where the victor gains a seat of the High Council. With multiple ways to defeat an opponent, players will cast spells and summon creatures, all the while managing their resources to keep their strategies strong.
Santa’s Toy Box is a “point salad” set collection game for 2-6 players. Players draft cards that are Toys and Coal for points, as well as special event cards that can effect a player’s board state.
W.A.V.E.S. is a randomly-generated competitive tabletop game where players control a team of divers in waters that are turbulent with seismic activity. The most rarest jewels are abundant, but so is the danger!
Higgs Boson is a tabletop game for 2-4 players. Players lead a teams of scientists, striving to find the seven yet unknown elements of the Periodic Table, or executing the formula of the Big Bang by smashing elements together and executing awesome Patent Inventions like Artificial Suns, Hover cars, and more, to gain money, powers, and points!

Loop Thesis is a time traveling puzzle game about both the intrinsic joy of exploring systems and about the way that simple routines and strange places grow on us over time.
The game is built on top of an internally consistent simulation of time, and all of the mechanics of the game flow naturally from simulation. This means that the game’s mechanics are completely consistent — if you know the rules of how time travel works, any trick or technique you can think will work as expected because the game never “fakes” any of its mechanics. This also means that when players notice strange events in the game or mechanics that don’t quite make sense, there’s always a reason for what they see — the game never asks you to suspend your disbelief around its mechanics and it never lies to you about what’s actually going on behind-the-scenes in code.
There are no villains or overarching disasters to prevent. Instead, the game’s narrative and themes are built around a simple message: that sometimes systems themselves are inherently just worth exploring, that sometimes just existing in the world and making small, everyday iterative changes is enough. Being stuck isn’t necessarily the end of the world, and when everything around us starts to feel chaotic and backwards and upside down, sometimes that also means strange places start to feel like home.”

You are Dewey von Drake, a rubber ducky working as a programmer’s assistant. It’s January 13th, National Rubber Ducky Day, and instead of taking the day off and swimming around in your bathtub, here you are watching people code. Horribly.
After hours on end watching line after line of gosh-darn-awful and buggy code, you snap and decide to go rogue. Together with now-retired Duckberg Army General Von Mallard and brilliant scientist Dr. Quaxmore, you devise Operation Quack A.T.T.A.C.K., with a goal to overthrow the government and form your own, one that observes Rubber Ducky Day as a federal holiday in the name of all the unsung heroes of code.
Attacking the government is no easy task. Jump and dash your way through government buildings, while using your trusty water gun to ward off evil office supplies hired by federal officials to stop you. You must also avoid hazards and shabby architecture getting between you and the president’s desk at all costs!

Skeptics is a cooperative tabletop game for 1-4 players where you play as paranormal investigators. Form a team trying to prove the existence of ghosts that haunt an environment by gathering evidence of the paranormal.
Players race against the clock rolling dice to match icons to Search, Reveal, and Solve Clues. Each Clue will lead one step closer to revealing the Ghost. Environment Cards are drawn at the stroke of midnight which may have hazards and conditions that will impede the players’ progress. Investigators win if the existence of the Ghost can be proven in time, but fail if time runs out.

From pre-production, to development, to modeling and texturing, Villa Maria’s Game Design program immerses you into every phase of the game design process, molding you into a strategic and creative individual who is prepared to take your talent to the professional playing field.
Para-Fluence was made for a Senior Thesis Project at Villa Maria College, and is a short single-player game about solving puzzles before time runs out. Set in the ruins of a ship taken over by an Alien Parasite, it’s your job to complete all of the objectives while navigating the inside and maintaining necessary ship functions. Puzzles and Ship Systems take the form of minigames found on the ship’s consoles, your personal map, and and as obstacles in the level itself.
